Cozzy Flooring Giveaway – Official Rules

COZZY FLOORING
STAIRCASE MAKEOVER GIVEAWAY – OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.
The Cozzy Flooring Staircase Makeover Giveaway (the “Contest”) is sponsored and administered by Cozzy Flooring (the “Sponsor”). By entering, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Contest Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor made in accordance with these Rules.

1. CONTEST PERIOD
   The Contest begins on September 30, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time
   and closes on October 31, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time (the “Contest Period”). Entries received outside the Contest Period are void.
2. ELIGIBILITY
   The Contest is open only to individuals who:

• Have reached the age of majority in Ontario;
• Reside within Ottawa or Cozzy Flooring’s regular surrounding service area;
• Own the residential property where the prize will be installed, or have the property owner’s written authorization permitting the installation; and
• Have a staircase and property that meet the material, access, safety and installation requirements in these Rules. Employees, contractors and representatives of Cozzy Flooring, and members of their immediate households, are not eligible. Final eligibility of the entrant, property and staircase is subject to verification before a winner is confirmed.

3. HOW TO ENTER
   During the Contest Period, an eligible entrant must follow @CozzyFlooring on Instagram, like the official Giveaway post, and tag one friend in a comment on that post. Maximum one entry per person. Multiple comments, tags or accounts do not increase the chances of winning. Entries generated by script, bot, macro, automated process, false identity, duplicate identity or other attempt to circumvent the entry limit may be void. No purchase or payment is necessary to enter or win.
4. PRIZE AND APPROXIMATE VALUE
   There is one (1) prize available, allocated to the eligible Ottawa/surrounding service area.
   The prize is one qualifying residential staircase carpet makeover using Beaulieu Canada – Escape to Maui(TM), Hail Cloud, from Cozzy Flooring’s designated giveaway material, including standard under pad where required and standard professional carpet installation. Approximate Retail Value: $2,200 CAD. The available giveaway carpet measures approximately 15’10” x 12′. This quantity does not guarantee suitability for any particular staircase. The Sponsor must account for cuts, carpet direction, seams, waste and installation requirements. The prize is non-transferable, has no cash surrender value to the winner, and cannot be exchanged for cash, store credit, another color, flooring product or service except where the Sponsor expressly permits a substitution under these Rules.
5. STAIRCASE AND SITE QUALIFICATION
   Being selected in the random draw does not make the entrant the confirmed winner and does not guarantee installation. The selected entrant remains a potential winner until all eligibility, verification and site requirements are satisfied. Cozzy Flooring may request photographs, measurements, video, property-owner authorization, an on-site inspection or other reasonably necessary information. A staircase or property may be deemed ineligible where, in Cozzy Flooring’s reasonable professional determination:
   

• The available carpet is insufficient;
• The configuration or dimensions require more material than is available;
• Repairs, reconstruction or preparation beyond a standard carpet installation are required;
• The stairs, substrate or surrounding construction are damaged, unsafe, unstable or unsuitable;
• Moisture, mould, contamination, suspected hazardous materials or other conditions prevent safe or proper work;
• Specialty fabrication, unusual access or non-standard installation is required;
• Safe and reasonable access cannot be provided; or
• The work cannot reasonably be completed using Cozzy Flooring’s normal installation and workmanship practices.
  If a potential winner’s staircase or property does not qualify, the potential winner will be disqualified from receiving the prize, no cash or substitute flooring will be owed, and another potential winner may be randomly selected.

6. INCLUDED WORK
   The prize includes the designated carpet, standard carpet underpad where required, and standard professional carpet installation for one qualifying residential staircase. Installation method, seam placement, carpet direction, use of underpad and other technical installation decisions will be determined by Cozzy Flooring in its reasonable professional judgment and with regard to the material and site conditions.
7. EXCLUDED WORK AND ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS
   Unless expressly agreed by Cozzy Flooring in writing, the prize does not include:

• Additional flooring or areas beyond the available giveaway material;
• Structural repairs, stair rebuilding, custom carpentry or modifications to treads, risers, nosings, stringers, railings, posts or trim;
• Major substrate or subfloor repair, levelling or remediation;
• Moisture, mould, asbestos or other hazardous-material testing, removal or remediation;
• Painting, drywall, electrical or plumbing work;
• Removal or reinstallation of railings, fixtures or specialty items;
• Moving unusually heavy, fragile or specialty furniture or possessions;
• Work caused by concealed or previously unknown conditions; or
• Any other work outside a standard carpet installation.
  If additional work is necessary or requested, Cozzy Flooring may provide a separate quotation. The winner is not required to buy optional additional work. If necessary preparatory or corrective work is required for a safe and proper installation and the property owner declines to have it completed, the staircase may be deemed ineligible.

8. RANDOM SELECTION AND ODDS
   After the Contest Period closes, one potential winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries. The odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received. Cozzy Flooring may preserve a record of the draw and verification process. The Sponsor’s reasonable determinations concerning compliance with these Rules are final for purposes of administering the Contest, subject to applicable law.
9. WINNER VERIFICATION AND SKILL-TESTING QUESTION
   Before being declared the confirmed winner, the potential winner must:

• Satisfy all eligibility and entry requirements;
• Respond within 48 hours after the Sponsor’s first notification attempt;
• Provide reasonable proof of identity, age, residence, property ownership or property-owner authorization if requested;
• Provide information reasonably required to assess the staircase and site;
• Correctly answer, without assistance, a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question; and
• Sign and return any reasonable declaration, eligibility confirmation and prize release documentation requested by Cozzy Flooring, to the extent permitted by applicable law. If these requirements are not satisfied, or if notification is returned or cannot reasonably be completed, the potential winner may be
  disqualified and another potential winner may be randomly selected.

10. INSTALLATION, REDEMPTION AND FORFEITURE
    Installation will be scheduled at a mutually agreeable date, subject to Cozzy Flooring’s reasonable scheduling availability. The winner must provide safe and reasonable access and ensure the work area is ready at the scheduled time. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the prize must be redeemed and installation completed within 90 days after winner confirmation. If the winner repeatedly fails to cooperate with reasonable scheduling attempts, fails to provide required access, fails to prepare the work area, or otherwise prevents fulfillment within the redemption period, the prize may be forfeited and another potential winner may be selected, subject to applicable law.
11. EXISTING, CONCEALED AND HAZARDOUS CONDITIONS
    Cozzy Flooring is not responsible for pre-existing defects or concealed conditions not caused by its work, including structural defects, damaged substrates, moisture, mould, suspected asbestos or other hazardous materials, improperly constructed stairs, hidden fasteners, utilities or other conditions that could not reasonably have been identified before work. If such a condition is discovered, Cozzy Flooring may stop or postpone work where reasonably necessary for safety or proper installation. Correction, testing and remediation outside the prize scope are the property owner’s responsibility unless separately agreed in writing.
12. PROPERTY DAMAGE, PERSONAL PROPERTY AND ACCESS
    The property owner must remove or secure fragile, valuable and personal items from the work area and provide a reasonably clear path to the staircase. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Cozzy Flooring is not responsible for loss or damage arising from pre-existing conditions, concealed defects, unsafe conditions, owner-supplied information that is inaccurate or incomplete, or items that the owner failed to
    remove or secure. Nothing in these Rules excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
13. RELEASE AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
    To the extent permitted by applicable law, by accepting the prize the confirmed winner agrees to release and hold harmless Cozzy Flooring and its owners, employees, contractors, representatives and agents from claims, losses or damages arising from participation in the Contest or acceptance, use or misuse of the prize, except to the extent caused by the negligence, willful misconduct or other liability of a released party that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Nothing in these Rules is intended to waive or limit any non-waivable statutory right or remedy.
14. TECHNICAL FAILURES AND INSTAGRAM
    Cozzy Flooring is not responsible for entries that are lost, late, misdirected, incomplete or not received because of platform outages, transmission failures, account settings, technical errors or other circumstances outside its reasonable control. If Instagram functionality, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failure or another event outside the Sponsor’s reasonable control materially affects the integrity or proper administration of the Contest, the Sponsor may take reasonable corrective action, including modifying, suspending or terminating the Contest, subject to applicable law and without using such action to avoid
    awarding a properly earned prize.
15. PRIZE AVAILABILITY AND SUBSTITUTION
    The prize is based on the designated Escape to Maui(TM) – Hail Cloud material. If that material becomes unavailable, damaged or unusable for reasons outside Cozzy Flooring’s reasonable control, Cozzy Flooring may, where permitted by law, substitute material or a prize of equal or greater approximate retail value. The winner may not otherwise demand a substitution.
16. WINNER NOTIFICATION AND NO PAYMENT TO CLAIM
    The potential winner will be contacted through Cozzy Flooring’s official Instagram account or official business contact information. Cozzy Flooring will never require a winner to pay a claim fee or provide credit-card or banking information as a condition of receiving the prize. Entrants should disregard impersonator accounts.
17. PHOTOGRAPHY AND PUBLICITY
    Cozzy Flooring may separately ask the winner for permission to photograph or record the staircase before, during or after installation for portfolio, website, social-media or advertising use. Promotional consent is not a condition of entering or winning.
18. PRIVACY
    Personal information collected for the Contest will be used only as reasonably necessary to administer the Contest, verify eligibility, contact and confirm the winner, assess the installation site and fulfill the prize, or as otherwise permitted or required by law. Entry does not by itself constitute consent to unrelated electronic marketing.
19. TAXES AND OTHER COSTS
    Any tax liability or other cost arising solely from the winner’s receipt of the prize and not expressly included in these Rules is the winner’s responsibility, if applicable. Cozzy Flooring makes no representation regarding an entrant’s individual tax consequences.
20. INSTAGRAM / META DISCLAIMER
    This Contest is sponsored and administered solely by Cozzy Flooring and is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Instagram or Meta. Instagram and Meta are not responsible for administration of the Contest or fulfillment of the prize.
21. GENERAL CONDITIONS
    Cozzy Flooring may disqualify an entrant who provides false information, tampers with the entry or selection process, uses multiple or fraudulent accounts to circumvent the entry limit, interferes with the Contest, or otherwise violates these Rules. If circumstances outside Cozzy Flooring’s reasonable control prevent the Contest from being administered as intended, the Sponsor may reasonably modify, suspend or terminate it, subject to applicable law. Any action taken under this provision will be administered
    in a manner consistent with the Sponsor’s legal obligations, including the obligation not to unduly delay prize distribution. If any provision is invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
22. GOVERNING LAW
    These Rules and the Contest are governed by the applicable laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Ontario. Nothing in these Rules deprives an entrant of rights that cannot legally be waived or restricted.
